Tasty Local Food in Cihangir, Istanbul
When traveling, we prefer to eat food at a local restaurant instead of at the “must see” places that many travelers recommend. The food is usually more authentic as well as being cheaper. You’re also supporting local businesses.
We miss this cute little restaurant now that we’re in Bangkok.
Ma Belle restaurant was on the same street as our Airbnb apartment. We spotted it will walking past one day. It’s a simple place with two table inside and another two outside. It’s as local as it gets.
The food above, along with two bottles of water cost just 315 Turkish lira (under $12).
The staff were super-friendly and very helpful, even though they spoke little English.
We sat at an outside table under the shade of a tree.
This restaurant looks fairly new and might have only opened recently.
